Auditions for “Family (Working Title)” – Night 2

Theatre of North Texas is proud to announce auditions for our first local playwright production. Director and playwright, Erynn Michelle, will be hosting auditions for her play “Family” to be performed in August at our new theatre location. Details below!

Dates/Times: May 12 – 14, 7 – 10 pm
Location: Theatre of North Texas (545 S Nolen Dr, Southlake Tx)
Workshop Dates: 2 – 4 meetings as calendars permit May 20 – June 30
Rehearsal dates: July 1 – August 8
Performance dates: August 9-25
Auditions will consist of a prepared dramatic monologue and a short reading from the script.
Please prepare a 1 – 2 minute dramatic monologue for your audition. The monologue can be from any production you like.
Please bring a resume and head shot, along with a list of conflicts May 19 – August 25, to auditions.
The director may ask you to read a sample from the script, as well. Note: Please give yourself plenty of time to arrive early. Due to a tight audition schedule, we will not be able to guarantee your audition time if you are not present at its beginning.
All roles are available.
RACHEL: family caretaker. Self-proclaimed protagonist. Late 20s. Sarcastic and intelligent.
ADELAIDE: youngest child. Pretty, seemingly innocent, dresses fashionably. Early 20s. Sweet, but strong.
MARGOT: mother. Wealthy socialite with little time for family squabbles. 50s. Proud, strong.
JACK: oldest child. Business man, ladder-climbing. Early 30s. Focused and dominant.
KURT: Jack’s partner. Wise and gentle. 30s. The voice of reason for Rachel.
CARL JONES: Family friend. Comes to mend fences. Late 50s. Wise, likable.
