“This board is comprised of individuals within the business, arts, and local communities. These individuals donate their time and effort, bringing years of experience, towards progressing Theatre of North Texas as an arts institution throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.”
Board President – Jenny Tucker
Jenny has been involved in the DFW theatre on stage and behind the scenes for the past 23 years. She is a proud member of the Actors Equity Association. Born and raised in Irving, Texas, she has an extensive background in the arts. She studied vocal performance at the University of North Texas but her real education in the arts began as a child, thanks to a mother who loved theatre, music and art and encouraged her to do the same. Aside from her music and theatre experience, she is a visual artist whose work has been shown at the Main Street and Holder/Dane galleries in Grapevine and the Milan Gallery in Ft. Worth. She’s served on the board of the Grapevine Art Project, led group studies for creatives and had the pleasure of serving as the art broker at Buon Giorno Coffee House for many years. Currently you’ll find her sharing her love of Broadway with the theatre students at Carroll High School as their vocal coach. Most importantly though, her desire is to nurture and develop talent in all facets of the creative arts for the betterment of the community. Creativity has the power to transform lives and bring about change!
Vice President- Erynn Michelle
Erynn has been involved in theatre and performance since she was five years old. She studied theatre at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Tx, and has been involved in community theatre ever since. She is actively involved in the DFW theatre community, both on and off stage. When she is not in one theatre or another, she works at a large investments firm because they won’t pay her if she doesn’t. She calls the Keller, Tx area home, and is thrilled to join the Executive Board of the Theatre of North Texas!
Secretary- Rachel Weber
Rachel developed a love for theatre while growing up in the small town of Hartland, Michigan. A recent Dallas transplant, she moved to town for work after graduating with a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Rachel currently works as a process engineer. In the theatre, she has experience acting, stage managing, and directing, and is excited to have the opportunity to explore the DFW theatre scene. Rachel is thrilled to join such a phenomenal team in growing the Theatre of North Texas.

Crys began her theatre career as a student in high school starring in One Act Plays and performing in top choirs. She continued her study of the arts and music in college while earning a Business Management degree. Crys has always been involved in several areas of performance and production in and outside of her professional career and most recently has been performing in local DFW community theatre productions. She holds a master’s degree in Sociology and is a certified Forecast Practitioner, which serves her well as Director of Development for Theatre of North Texas, providing insight into meaningful programming and outreach. Elaine works for the Keller Independent School District by day and has been the driving force behind the development of a robust online and blended program in Keller schools. Elaine is honored and excited to be giving back to the Keller area community by serving on the board of this innovative theater.
Production Liaison- David Plybon
David has been seen acting and singing on many stages in DFW community theaters since 2005. To the position of Theater Liaison, he combines his theater experience with expertise in human relations through his work for the U.S. Postal Service, serving as manager of EEO Compliance and Appeals. David’s thorough understanding of human capital management and compliance will be an asset to the theater as it grows with increasing numbers of volunteers and staff.
Director of Development- Shelby Tallent
Shelby’s passion for the arts started early on when she became involved in theatre, band, orchestra, and choir during elementary school. As a Military Brat and moved a total of 22 times, jumping from city to city, quickly having to learn to make new friends and adapt to change, and being a part of the arts helped mold her into an outgoing, passionate individual who had the confidence to take on any new challenge. Currently, Shelby is a Software Development IT Project Manager for Multi-Million Dollar Projects, and when not at work, she likes to attend Musicals, Operas, Plays, and College Football Games, and is also in pursuit of her Doctor of Business Administration. Shelby is ecstatic to join the DFW theater community and assist the Theatre of North Texas executive board as their Director of Development.
Director of Technical Services- Bryan S. Douglas
Bryan jubilantly joins this incredibly talent group of beautiful people. He has worked with several other theatre companies in the DFW area, serving as technician, designer, and actor. The whole of the world is a great, black pit until a designer comes along and makes it lit. Proudly served in the US Army Reserve (2002-2011).
